CM's 'rescue work' remark: Ernakulam CJM Court orders probe against Pinarayi Vijayan

Kochi: The Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Wednesday ordered an inquiry against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan based on his previous remark that party workers assaulting Youth Congress activists during the Nava Kerala Sadas campaign was ‘rescue work’.

The court directed the Ernakulam Central police to investigate and submit a report on the case. The order was made considering a complaint filed by Ernakulam DCC president Mohammed Shiyas. As per the complaint, the chief minister’s statement was an incitement to crime.
