Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala University has decided to conduct a re-examination on April 7 following the loss of MBA students’ answer sheets by a teacher while traveling. The decision was made during a meeting convened by Vice Chancellor Dr Mohan Kunnummal. Students facing difficulties in writing the exam on April 7 will be allowed to appear for it on April 22.
The teacher responsible for the lost answer sheets will be completely removed from the examination process. Additionally, the university has decided to declare the exam results within three days of the re-examination.
The answer sheets belonging to the Finance Stream MBA third-semester subject ‘Project Finance,’ held ten months ago, were lost. Reports suggest the loss occurred with a teacher in Palakkad, who had taken the papers of 71 students from the 2022-2024 batch of five colleges for evaluation. The teacher claimed the sheets fell off his bike while he was traveling.
The results for the MBA course, which was expected to be completed within two years, have not been announced even after two and a half years. Despite students raising complaints, the university has not provided any explanation. Meanwhile, students received a notification on Friday afternoon about the re-examination, after which the incident came to light.
